Today the members of the Wormwood family were invited to discuss Gibson Southern Theatre’s upcoming musical, MATILDA THE MUSICAL, on ABC 25 Local Lifestyles. The cast members were Mr. Wormwood, played by Wade Happe, Mrs. Wormwood, played by Sydney Goedde, and Matilda Wormwood, played by Abby Scheller. They traveled to the station in Henderson, Kentucky to be interviewed.
Ange Humphrey, the interviewer, asked questions such as “When will the show be premiered? Tell me about your character”, and “Where can tickets be purchased?” With every answer provided Wade, Sydney, and Abby answered with their British accents, used within the show. Ange also asked questions about how the cast developed their accents and do they ever catch themselves talking in a British accent outside of rehearsal, which Sydney said: “Yes, but they [students] know we are from the musical.” The Wormwood family, along with the rest of the cast and crew of MATILDA, hope to see you on March 13th, 14th, and 15th!
