Junior Kyla Frizzell writes this week's THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL update. This year, Kyla is a Sophomore Rep. for ITS Troupe #5623 and is a dancer and the Middle "F" in this season's production of THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL.

It is officially that time in the musical process! The week of February 23rd through February 27th was our first of two Act One / Act Two weeks. Act One / Act Two week is the first time the cast and crew of Spongebob will be able to see all of the scenes in the entire show put in chronological order. It is the time of the process where everything finally starts piecing together.

Monday and Wednesday were spent working on the first act of the show. Tuesday and Thursday were spent working on the second act of the show. All of these scenes have already been practiced at least once, so this week focused on polishing and perfecting. This week is a great time to cast members to practice their quick changes and get used to taking mics on and off quickly between scenes.

Monday and Tuesday the cast and crew mainly focused on parts of the show that were not hit during the basketball or K-8 teaser. This is because those scenes had already gotten so much work done, unlike many other scenes. Some of these non-teaser scenes have had very little time dedicated to them, and the crew needed to get a chance to see what they had to do for each scene. Wednesday and Thursday were focused on making sure the cast knew their lines and the crew knew their cues.

The clock is ticking and show weekend is almost here. The cast and crew will continue to spend their time perfecting each scene. We are so excited for everyone to see how much this show has come together! See you guys soon!
