Sophomore Peyton Rowe writes this week's THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL update. This year, Peyton is a Sophomore Rep. for ITS Troupe #5623 and plays the role of a Sardine Devotee in this season's production of THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL.
The cast and crew of SpongeBob have been working our Bikini Bottoms off preparing for opening weekend! This week has been full of excitement as we’ve been alternating between Act One and Act Two rehearsals, polishing scenes, perfecting stage effects, and putting the finishing touches on costumes. With every rehearsal, the show gets better, and the excitement in the theatre department keeps bubbling up like a jellyfish!
We are especially thrilled for Press Night next Tuesday, when we will perform the entire show for an audience for the very first time. Parents and close family members are allowed to attend and take photos of the performance. It’s also the only night where flash photography will be allowed, making it an exciting sneak peek before opening weekend!
One of the biggest signs that opening night is coming is that tickets were released to the public on February 20th! You can buy tickets and reserve seats online right now, so don’t miss the chance to have ¨The Best Day Ever¨. The box office will also be selling tickets before each performance.
