So many exciting things happened for GSTD this week and weekend! This week I really wanted to showcase the progress we have made with our full cast number “Under the Sea”.
On Friday the entire cast had the opportunity to perform “Under the Sea” during the halftime performance at one of our home basketball games! We have worked extremely hard on this number and the energy was INSANE from the crowd. After the performance we received so much praise for the hard work that we have put in the last two months!
Our choreographer Loni Prator has worked so hard on choreography for all of our dances. “Under the Sea” is our full cast number that involves everyone and so many custom made props by our amazing costume ladies!
Due to the severe rain storm Gibson County had on Thursday we were unfortunately unable to rehearse for our Little Mermaid teaser, to be performed for South Gibson students in grades K-2. Luckily we have been able to reschedule that performance to this week, Friday February 25! The entire cast is extremely ecstatic to perform in full costume, hair, and makeup for our local elementary schools!
This week, the dancers put in a lot of hard work. The chef dance was able to be put on stage for the first time after a lot of practice with Jonnie Dixon as Chef Louis. Now that every dance has been choreographed, we are excited to continue practicing!
