What is your favorite Disney’s NEWSIES quote, song or scene — and why? “The things we do today will be tomorrow’s news,” because even the little things that we do will change tomorrow’s plan.
How many Gibson Southern Theatre productions (including Disney’s NEWSIES) have you been a part of while in high school? 6, 8 counting Young Playwrights
What is your favorite role, act, or show that you have been a part of in high school? My favorite part of theatre in high school was when I was training under Lindsey. Without her training me and being my role model, I may have not wanted to be stage manager.
Do you have a favorite story from your time spent in theatre? Warning: at the time I did not think this was a good story. During Vaudeville 2018: Under the Big Top, the costume room doors got locked and closed with Bobbie Jo’s Costume inside. After mass panic, a costume lady came to rescue the day.
What are your plans after high school? I plan to attend USI and study elementary education. I will be living on campus with former stage manager, Lindsey McBride.
What words of advice do you have for those thinking about joining Gibson Southern Theatre? Do it! Join as soon as you can, and don’t take a single second for granted.
