Gibson Southern Theatre

Founded in 1974 by Mrs. Kathy Parks, Gibson Southern Theatre is the award-winning theatre department of Gibson Southern High School in Fort Branch, Indiana. Each season features a wide variety of performances that engage both students and the community. In November, the Musical Theatre class presents Musical Theatre Presents…, a nearly 15-song concert featuring full choir numbers and solos drawn from Broadway and other musical theatre productions. December brings the long-standing community favorite Vaudeville, while March showcases a large-scale musical involving nearly one hundred students. In April, the Musical Theatre class returns with Spring Showcase, a concert of solos, duets, and trios that highlights individual talent.

Renowned for high-quality productions that emphasize student dedication and talent, Gibson Southern Theatre continues to inspire audiences while providing students with opportunities to learn, perform, and grow both on stage and behind the scenes. At the heart of our program is a mission to expose students to the performing arts, provide meaningful hands-on experience, and champion the importance of keeping Arts in Education a vital part of every student’s journey.
