What is your favorite Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical quote, song or scene — and why? “Nobody but me is gonna change my story.” I like this quote because it makes me feel in control of my life and my decisions. I love how it deems life as being like a story and portrays us as our own authors.

What is your favorite role, act, or show that you have been a part of in high school? Sister Act. I loved the plot, humor, and music. It was my first GSTD musical I was involved in, and it made me fall in love with the department.
Do you have a favorite story from your time spent in theatre? Everyday during Cinderella rehearsals, Max would dead leg me. One particular day, he did it and I almost fell into the pit. Luckily, I am still alive.
What are your plans after high school? I am attending Murray State University with plans to major in Dietary Science and become a registered dietitian.
What words of advice do you have for those thinking about joining Gibson Southern Theatre? Join theatre! You will make friends and cry a lot!
Do you have anything else to add? Try out for that skit in Vaudeville or that role in the musical! I did not get the confidence until my senior year to try out with a skit, so I never even had a mic until this year. I wish I would have pushed through my fears freshman year.
